Assessment

The SLP will conduct a comprehensive assessment that will evaluate different speech and language areas, depending on the type of service requested. The assessment will be conducted with the client alone or with the entire family.

The assessment report will include a case history, an analysis based on caregiver report (for a child assessment), client observation, direct client interaction, as well as summary and recommendations.

If you would like to receive the report, please allow up to 2 weeks for the assessment report to be completed.

Therapy

Following the first visit, your SLP will mutually establish goals and an action plan that best aligns with the client and/or family.

The frequency and number of therapy sessions will depend on the needs, budget, availability and type of service requested. Therapy sessions are generally once a week. Sometimes, intervention can be completed within a few sessions, while other times it can take a few months or even years.

Following therapy sessions, homework recommendations can be provided upon request.

Cost of Services

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. We understand unforeseen events happen. A missed appointment or late cancellation leaves a gap in the clinician's schedule that could have otherwise been filled with another client.

As such, I respectfully ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Missed appointments (no-shows) or cancellations made within 24 hours of the booking time will be subject to the full appointment fee.

Payment

We are happy to accept payments by credit card or e-transfer. To reserve your spot, we ask that a credit card be kept securely on file - this helps us hold your appointment and honour your time. Alternatively, you can secure your spot by sending an e-transfer to the clinic. Payment will be processed after your session where you will receive a receipt with the provider's registration number. At this time, we are not able to offer direct billing.
